Anti Food Waste : Since 2019, hotels have been committed to anti-food waste with application Too Good To Go.
Every day we offer our unsold breakfasts at reduced prices. This solution thus contributes to reducing food waste, through better management of losses.

Each hotel has its own beehive within the Domaine de Marlioz in Aix-les-Bains Customers will be able to taste the honey from our hives.
Vegetables Gardens : several hotels have vegetable gardens. Customers can thus taste the products of the garden for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Food surpluses recovered by Zero Desperdíci : partners of the Associação dos Albergues Noturnos de Lisboa (the Association of Hostels in Lisbon), and provide 55 meals per week.

Nespresso « Reciclar é Alimentar »(Recycling is nourishing) which transforms Nespresso coffee capsules into meals for the Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome (the Food Bank against hunger) .Taking advantage of the coffee grounds (after separating the aluminum from the capsules). This coffee grounds is then incorporated into agricultural compost, used to amend rice fields located in Alentejo, which is then processed, checked and packaged, then donated to the Food Bank against Hunger.

Altis hotels have partnered with Serve the City in September 2017, through a monthly and voluntary contribution by its employees, to help prepare "community dinners".

The Trussel Trust - selected by employees. In the UK, more than 14 million people live in poverty, including 4.5 million children. The Trussell Trust supports over 1,200 food bank centers in the UK to provide a minimum of three days of nutritionally balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in a crisis, as well as support to help people to resolve the crises they face.

Dominican Republic
Riu Hotels - 87 hotels

Delivered nearly 5,000 food servings and 214 food baskets to children and their families in the Dominican Republic. In the first semester of the year, Ciudad de Dios para las Naciones, together with the La Segunda Milla Educational Center and the financial support of RIU hotels, have delivered 4808 portions of food and 214 baskets with basic necessities to vulnerable children and their families. The association, which has been working for 10 years identifying the needs of girls and boys in the Dominican Republic, has had the collaboration of social workers and pedagogical professionals who currently visit marginalized places..
